As moms and caregivers of eczema warriors, we are always consumed with the best possible care for our little ones. We are constantly worrying about their diet to ensure gut health, analyzing product ingredients to eliminate a flare or allergic reaction, making sure we have an adequate stock of our favorite moisturizer, or monitoring the weather and air quality (especially in the spring) to avoid an asthma attack. Bottom line…we spend majority of our time concentrating on our kiddos and family, that it is easy to forget about our wellbeing. How many moms are guilty of that??? I know I am!
Well guess what moms, we must do better because taking care of ourselves is JUST AS IMPORTANT as taking care of our family. Guess what…#WeMatter! So, let’s make sure we practice selfcare,️ just as much as we take care of our love ones. The six tips
below always help me reclaim my sanity when I am feeling overwhelmed with life’s daily task.
- Take a few deep breaths (Yes it WORKS!)
- Take a 30 Minute Timeout – Even it means hiding in the bathroom, eating
bacon, and blasting your favorite musical artist! - Learn the Power of NO – This simple, yet so powerful word is absolutely
necessary at times. Use it and do not feel bad about it. TRUST ME…they will
live! - Take a Shower or Hot Bath in Peace – (Tip: Lock the door and ignore the
screams for “MOM” on the other side. You may also see little fingers slide under
the door….ignore those too!) - Find 15-20 Minutes to Exercise – Even it means allowing the kiddos to workout
with you. - Take a Break to Do Absolutely NOTHING – This is the best form of therapy,
even if it is only for 5 minutes. Sit back relax and think about NOTHING!
Remember…
Your health and wellbeing are just as important as your family’s. Remember, to give your
family your absolute best, you must ensure that you are the best possible version of
yourself by taking care of YOURSELF! So, take a few minutes to relax, rejuvenate and
